PLA FILAMENTS

HOME > PLA FILAMENTSGENERAL INFORMATION

PLA (Polylactic Acid or Polylactate) is a thermoplastic material made from plant starch (maize, wheat, cassava, sugar cane, sugar beet etc.).

Biodegradable, has a lower environmental impact compared to plastics derived from fossil fuels.

Has a shiny appearance. It is very rigid and resistant to bending, so when subjected to the maximum stress does not bend, but breaks or tends to delaminate (separation of the layers).

Colors: black, bronze, blue, gold, white, black, silver, orange, purple, white, red, yellow, green, natural and transparent.
Density (21,5°C): 1250 kg/m³
Melting point: ~180°C-200°C
Shock resistance: 5 kJ/m2
